With this in mind, Facebook has now released a stand alone app for Windows 7 computers which brings the messaging aspect of the social networking service to the users desktop instead of using it via a web browser. The app had been outed while in beta form and has now been released to the public on Facebook’s Help page . The messaging app will only work with Windows PC’s and will receive updates automatically.
