Windows Azure platform hits general availability

As expected , Microsoft has announced the general availability of the Azure platform (Windows Azure, SQL Azure, and AppFabric) in 21 countries. Starting today, Microsoft customers and partners in those regions will be able to launch their Azure production applications and services with the support of the full Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

Don’t Forget – Windows 7 RC Begins To Shutdown In 1 Month

Part of Windows 7 success was undoubtedly related to the extensive pre-release program that Microsoft had in operation prior to the official release of the RTM on the 22nd October 2009. The Windows 7 Beta 1 was released back in January of 2009 and began shutting down every 2 hours from the 2nd of July . Reminder: Windows 7 RC shutdowns start in a month

This is a reminder post for all the Windows 7 users still using the Release Candidate (build 7100) that was released to the public in May 2009 . Bi-hourly shutdowns of this build will begin on March 1, 2010, or four weeks from today. This means that the user will be told to install a released version of Windows and their PC will shut down automatically every two hours
