AJAX who? Silverlight-powered Bing Maps leaves beta
Microsoft has taken the beta tag off its the Silverlight version of the Bing Maps service, which it launched seven weeks ago, and has now set it as the default. Redmond says the Silverlight version and related changes (performance improvements, bug fixes, and small UI changes) will start to roll out to just a small percentage of users and will arrive in the rest of the US over the next few weeks. Silverlight and AJAX versions of Bing Maps will continue to coexist.
