Directions on Microsoft analysts have made a rather pleasant discovery for the paid version of Microsoft Office Web Apps (browser versions of Word, PowerPoint, Excel and OneNote): you’ll be able to access them from everywhere. Microsoft Release Ready Security Update – Doesn’t Fix Windows 7 Vulnerability

Microsoft’s first patch Tuesday of the year doesn’t seem to have too much in store, especially when you compare it to the record they set in October 2009 when they patched 34 vulnerabilities in 13 separate updates. Microsoft plan to issue just one patch this coming Tuesday to fix one critical vulnerability that affects Windows 2000, XP, Vista and Windows 7.

Microsoft: Google’s Nexus One will hurt Android

Earlier this week , Google unveiled the Nexus One; the search giant’s first branded mobile phone. Then the company confirmed that Nexus One, and all subsequent Google phones sold via the company’s online store, will be available unlocked for use on every participating carrier. Microsoft has weighed in on this development, specifically where Google is both offering Android to its partners and allowing one partner to benefit from having a Google-branded phone, concluding that it is a flawed strategy.
